Oliver Lee Garland

Oliver is a director known for his remarkable versatility, seamlessly handling comedy, suspense, and emotionally resonant pieces. With a background in acting, he excels at crafting characters and working with both actors and non-actors alike.

His talent has earned him numerous accolades, including awards at El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Shots Awards, Ciclope, Campanas de Oro, and Desachate. He is one of the most awarded directors in Uruguay over the past decade, having been named Best Local Director at El Ojo de Iberoamérica in 2015, 2020, and 2021.

Oliver masterfully weaves narratives that resonate deeply with audiences, creating memorable pieces. His work spans various Ibero-American markets, including Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and of course, Uruguay.

In 2018, he premiered From Core to Sun, a sports documentary that became the highest-grossing Ecuadorian film of the year. In his free time, Oliver is a skydiver and has even filmed several commercials while in the air.
